In its simplest form, an Intermittent Fast, Intermittent Fasting or IF for short, is a method of eating that alternates between periods of fasting and non-fasting. Intermittent Fasting has become more popular in the last few years, but it is not a new idea. Studies going back as far as 1946 found that Intermittent Fasting showed the potential of increased longevity of life, as well as reduce the risk of many types of cancer.
What this site focuses on ,however, is using the Intermittent Fasting Diet for losing fat (not to be confused with losing weight), building muscle or shifting body composition towards less fat and more muscle. While there are quite a few different methods of Intermittent Fasting out there (Eat Stop Eat, Warrior Diet,Fast-5, Leangains), I will be outlining my personal plan, which is a Calorie Restricted Intermittent Fast combined with an exercise plan. While I might not have a cool, catchy name for it, the plan did help me go from 11% body fat, down to 7.5% body fat in 6 weeks.
This plan is intended for those who are already in decent shape, 22% body fat and lower for females and 15% body fat and lower for males. It will help get rid of the last fat needed to get those visible six pack abs you've been wanting,while retaining the maximum amount of muscle.
