I was pretty busy with both work and getting stuck in traffic, so hunger really wasn't an issue. I've noticed that if and when hunger pangs kick in, its usually not until a few weeks in. Of course this is going by my last setup, where I restricted calories 4 days a week instead of the 3 I'm doing now. I'm also increasing my fat intake and today was a prime example of this. I really felt like eating red meat, so I stopped by the store on the way home and picked up a nice big top round steak, which really hit the spot. The one thing I forgot to get was broccoli, which I definitely need to incorporate into my daily meals.

When I've ran in the past few months, I always had a carb source pre-run. Since I eat very low carbs on non-weightlifting days, I wasn't sure how it would go. It ended up going great! I ran a 2 miler throughout my neighborhood and finished in 19 minutes. There were quite a few hills during my route, but even then,my best times so far have been maybe 8 minute miles. I use the endomondo app on my phone (Droid Incredible) and can't recommend it enough. It's pretty spot on as far as GPS accuracy and it uploads my stats to their website, so it's easy to track progress.
